Take a relaxing break from busy Auckland City and enjoy 8 acres of stunning watergardens surround the historical area of the Mauku Waterfall and Stream. The garden is located approx 1 hours drive south of Auckland City and is the gateway to the beautiful Awhitu Peninsula.

The gardens are on several levels where numerous pathways, bridges and ponds lead you to surprise after surprise. Unique growing situations are found in this garden due to the huge rock face and abundant water. Over eighty varieties of waterlilies and exotic lotus cover the ponds during the summer months.

Water Garden Cafe is licensed and the perfect place to relax in the gardens after your walk and enjoy the views and country atmosphere. The cafe serves morning, afternoon teas and lunches.
