New Zealand Holiday Discount Card is yours FREE when you buy a SIMCard or $10.00 prepaid phone card.

SO HOW DOES IT WORK?

1

SELECT THE RIGHT SIMCARD

With a local SIM you avoid global roaming charges.Your mobile device must be unlocked from your current provider prior to arrival in New Zealand so check your phone first, that it can be unlocked.

A. NZ Visitor Simcard- ideal for  making phonecalls both local and international, send text ( SMS) messages or use the internet or email from your mobile phone. This SIMCard package is unique as it includes a normal sized SIMcard, or press out the Micro SIM if you have mobile device like an Ipad or Iphone4 . Once you have put credit on your phone, you receive 5 minutes free calling to any of their 22 countries.

B. Simcard with 100MB data credit preloaded- Fits any SMART phone that takes a normal sized or MICRO SIM. If you are a regular user of the internet on your phone prepaying your data usage is the way to go. Casual data use is 50cents per MB. You are able to buy more Data packs when you run out, by creditcard using your mobile phone. YOu are still able to make phone calls with the SIM if it is inserted in a mobile phone. Simply top up with credit and talk away, or use the prepaid phonecard for even cheaper calling.

2

USE THE PREPAID PHONE CARD TO MAKE YOUR CALLS

The SIMcard's mobile provider is 2degrees mobile.  It is the cheapest mobile provider in New Zealand and you compare the three simcard providers .  You are able to make calls from 22 or 44 cents per minute within New Zealand  and 22 countries. All other countries are from $1.44 per minute.

Although this is cheap, the NZ Holidaycard prepaid calling credit allows you to make calls from only 5 or 6 cents per minute. This credit can be used from your mobile phone with a NZ Simcard or any landline within New Zealand. This gives you flexibility when you need to make an urgent call but there is no reception or your phone is flat. It is ideal to ring your family and friends back home, as soon as you have dialled the number , you will automatically hear how many calling minutes you have available with the credit left on your card. When you run out of credit simply top up using your creditcard. Please note that sometimes a surcharge applies when calling a mobile number.

You simply scratch off the panel on the back of your card to reveal your PIN number. Dial 0508 27 37 47, enter the pin followed by the number you wish to call. Use the card from any phone, your mobile (must have NZ Simcard to get the cheapest calling rates), landline, phone in your accommodation or a public phone. Calls within NZ from your mobile to a landline are only 5 c per minute. Calling from a landline to an international number start from 5 c per minute as well.  Enjoy up to 200 minutes talk time- value $10.00

HELP TO PROTECT OUR NATIVE KIWI

Our famous flightless Kiwi birds are endangered on the mainland. You are able to see them in captivity in wildlife nature parks. The BNZ Save the Kiwi Trust is working hard on making the natural kiwi enviornment safe for the kiwis to survive in the wild. Forest areas need to be made predator free. With the purchase of the NZ Holidaycard 1% is donated to this trust. Thank you for that, as their good work will ensure that the Kiwi bird can be admired by future generations as well. At the same time the pest iradication also increases the native bird population in those areas.

You are able to see the Kiwi in the wild on Stewart Island and the Okarito on the West Coast. Or visit Zealandia near Wellington. Check out all our offers and enjoy the Kiwi.
